PICTURE: Moyes statue outside Anfield only highlights Liverpool’s obsession with Manchester United

by Sam Peoples

Liverpool are on the verge of winning their first Premier League title in 25 years but outside Anfield, a statue of David Moyes erected ‘for services to Liverpool’ is where fans are flocking to.

Paddy Power, who would defecate on a grave if it meant gaining some more publicity, never fail to try and exploit a situation.

This season, they’ve put a statue of Ferguson outside Old Trafford, flown a plane banner over Old Trafford and now put a statue of Moyes outside Anfield.

If Paddy Power erected a statue outside Old Trafford every year for the past 24 years for Liverpool’s services to United, they’d be skint.

Hated, adored but never ignored.
