Manchester United’s new prolific striker keeps on getting better

Only the world’s best strikers can fill a fan with confidence that he will score in almost every game he plays.

That’s the feeling that James Wilson is currently giving off playing for Manchester United’s Under-21s.

Whenever he has a goalscoring opportunity, as a fan you have the confidence that more often than not, Wilson will find the back of the net. How many 18-year-old’s can you say that about?

He netted the first goal this week with a cool finish in United’s 3-2 win over Reading that earned a spot in the Under-21s Premier Leaugue semi-final.

Warren Joyce set Wilson a task of scoring in all remaining games this season and since then, Wilson has scored in every game.

Considering Wilson has not been 100% fit due to an ankle problem, something which may have forced his withdrawal after an hour against Reading, Wilson still scoring a goal every game is phenomenal.

Yes, it is the Under-21s so the level of opponents aren’t the greatest but bear in mind Wilson is only 18. He’s already playing above his age group and still being prolific in front of goal.

Next up for the Under-21s and Wilson is a trip to Anfield in the semi-final of the Under-21s Premier League where United will be looking towards Wilson for some more goalscoring inspiration.
