Marco Reus confirms his definite plans for next season and Manchester United aren’t part of them

The future of Marco Reus has been in the spotlight in recent weeks following his decision to remain coy about whether he would sign a new contract with Borussia Dortmund.

His delayed decision led to speculation that United could try and lure him to Old Trafford.

However, Reus has now confirmed that he will definitely play for Dortmund next season to effectively end United’s interest in him.

“I can definitely say that i will play for Dortmund next season,” he said.

“I don’t have to keep stressing how well I feel here.”

Reus has been in outstanding form this season and was rightly named Bundesliga Player of the Year after a campaign that saw him score 21 goals and collect 15 assists in all competitions.

A direct winger with both goals and assists in abundance would be the perfect tonic for United as this season, our wingers have dramatically underperformed.

He would have been a brilliant signing for United as a player with those sorts of numbers is precisely what we need on the wings but it looks like we’ll have to search elsewhere if we are to bring in a new winger.
