Gareth Southgate has named his England Under-21 squad for next week’s Euro qualifier against Wales as well as the Toulon Tournament.

Four Manchester United players have been called up: Sam Johnstone, Michael Keane, Jesse Lingard and Wilfried Zaha. Johnstone and Keane will be available for all the matches.

Lingard and Zaha are too old to take part in the Toulon Tournament having been born in 1992 and so they’ll only be available for the qualifier against Wales on 19 May which takes place in Swansea City’s Liberty Stadium.

England have a six-point lead at the top of Group One with away trips to Lithuania and second-placed Moldova which will take place later this year.

Those remaining with the squad will fly out to southern France where they will face Qatar, Colombia, Brazil and South Korea in the initial four matches.

The opening game against Qatar will take place on Thursday 22 May. They will then take on Brazil on Monday 26 May, Korea on Wednesday 28 May and Colombia on Friday 30 May.

Meanwhile, Ben Pearson and James Wilson have been included in Noel Blake’s initial 23 man training squad ahead of the Elite round of Qualifiers for the Under-19 European Championships.

The squad will be whittled down to just 18 players ahead of England’s first match on the 24 May.
