Manchester United confident of signing Toni Kroos before the World Cup – report

Manchester United are confident that a deal can be agreed for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos before the start of the World Cup, according to The Telegraph.

Mark Ogden reports that the confidence is coming from within Old Trafford and Bundesliga expert Raphael Honigstein also feels a deal could happen, so the Kroos to United suggestions have begun to surface once again after going quiet for a little while.

With his contract expiring in 2015, you could see why Bayern could be keen to cash in on him this year instead of potentially losing him for nothing the following summer.

As for Kroos, the situation remains the same as it has done all year. He wants parity with his peers, Bayern don’t want to give it to him and unless a compromise is found, he’ll more than likely seek an exit from Bayern this year.

Kroos has previously insisted the disagreements do not just revolve around money but ultimately, that is what it is boiling down to and when money is the talking point, anything can happen in football.

The 24-year-old wants to be left alone during the World Cup which intimates he wants his future decided either before or after it, so if United did have some confidence a deal could be agreed before the tournament starts, they have less than four weeks to sign him.
