Portugal’s top goalscorer wants to be at Manchester United next season

Bebe finished this season as the highest scoring Portuguese player in the league with 11 goals and has made it clear he wants to get another chance at Manchester United.

Yes, you read that right. No other Portuguese player scored more goals than Bebe.

Over the course of the year, Bebe has scored some outrageously good goals – from back heel flicks and volleys to Scholes-esque stunners, he really has scored some belters and last night in the play-off, he was at it again.

This time, it was, dare you say, a free-kick Cristiano Ronaldo would have been proud of. No backlift, pure power and great technique. A great free-kick by all accounts.

Bebe became Pacos de Ferreira’s savior in the second half of this season and they avoided relegation last night with this 3-1 win.

It’s incredible how well he has done in the latter stages this year and although what we’ve seen of him doesn’t warrant another chance, he’s certainly earned one from his performances in Portugal.
