Manchester United’s Bebe has been named Pacos de Ferreira’s Player of the Year and has also picked up the Golden Boot after finishing the season as their top goalscorer.
Bebe scored 11 goals last year, more than any other Portuguese player in the league, and was a major reason Pacos survived relegation.
The 23-year-old’s future is currently undecided and in the hands of his agent but Bebe confirmed his preference is now for a move to Portugal.
“I don’t know anything concrete,” he said.
“I hear talk of Braga and Sporting, but that’s just rumours. I leave that to my agent.
“If I could choose I’d choose one of the “Grande” in Portugal. I don’t think that anything else would be favourable to me.”
After the season Bebe had in Portugal, plenty United fans believe he deserves another opportunity at Old Trafford but the reality is that he would be far down the pecking line in terms of getting game time with the first team under Louis van Gaal.
Bebe will be well aware of that which is probably why his preference is now for a move to Portugal, so there’s certainly a possibility he won’t play in a United shirt again.
