On the back of a title winning campaign for Portuguese giants Benfica, Enzo Perez is being linked with a big money move away from the Estádio da Luz.
Having rejected a £15m offer from Rubin Kazan in the summer of 2013, the Portuguese press are now suggesting the Russian side will return with an improved bid to get their man, but are certainly going to face stiff competition from clubs all over Europe.
DN Desporto reports that after such a fantastic season for Benfica, in which Perez appeared in 47 of 57 matches for Jorge Jesus’ side, he has attracted interest from Valencia, Juventus and Manchester United.
It is no secret that United are on the lookout for new players and Perez could well be on the shopping list of Louis Van Gaal.
DN Desporto go on to quote reports from Spanish press which state that Perez is considered ‘the most decisive of the Portuguese league footballer’.
Perez, 28, will be in action for Argentina this summer having been called up to the World Cup squad and with this in mind his valuation could further increase if he performs well on the big stage.
It is unlikely that Jesus will want to lose one of his key men so an offer of in excess of £20m is needed in order to prize Perez away from the club he joined in 2011.
