A look into Real Madrid’s £33m ‘move’ for Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj

by Sam Peoples

Before Adnan Januzaj signed a long term deal with Manchester United, French club Paris St Germain were linked with a big money move for him. Nothing materialised.

Now, thanks to continued great form earning him a seat on Belgium’s plane for Brazil, Real Madrid are the team who are reportedly keen on signing Januzaj and a fee of £33m has been placed on him, according to the Mirror.

They claimed that Marca linked the Spanish giants with a summer move for Januzaj and after popping up in the Mirror, the story was then covered by others but none had a direct link to the Marca story they claimed to be referencing.

On Marca’s website, there was no mention of anything to do with Januzaj and Madrid’s desire to sign him.

Tellingly, Spanish newspaper AS made no reference to Marca when discussing the report, naming the Mirror as the source for the story.

The rumour may well have originated from the print version of Marca but it could be a classic case of chinese whispers because as far as we can tell, Marca haven’t said anything of the sort.

However, regardless of wherethe rumour has come from, Real Madrid can take their money elsewhere because Januzaj won’t be for sale at any price.
