The 18-year-old is expected to complete a medical tomorrow at Carrington and could well be unveiled as a United player before the weekend.
United have pursued Shaw since January when an initial bid was rejected by Southampton and the club followed up their interest with a bid immediately after the last game of the season.
Southampton once again rejected that bid but after some continued pursuit, United look to have landed their man.
It’s an astonishing figure for Shaw who is just 18 but if he can become United’a left-back for a decade then it would be excellent business, just like Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand have been in the past.
If Shaw is unveiled by tomorrow night then it would complete a whirlwind 48 hours for United having secured Ander Herrera earlier today.
