Juan Mata and David de Gea‘s burgeoning bromance was one of the few positives of Manchester United’s season last year, something which is likely to be repeated all over again this year thanks to the arrival of another Spaniard.
Ander Herrera has played alongside De Gea and Mata for Spain’s Under-21s and it’s clear the 24-year-old is excited to join up with Mata once again.
United fans are just as excited as Herrera is for next season because of the potential great football we’re going to play. Herrera is very similar to Mata in that he enjoys having the ball at his feet, taking responsibility and being as involved as he can, so the link-up play he should have with Mata could be mouthwatering.
Under Louis van Gaal, United will be a completely different team to how we played last year and with more arrivals likely to follow Herrera and Shaw into Old Trafford, the prospect of challenging for the Premier League title is certainly within our reach.
