Patrice Evra’s move to Juventus could be completed by the end of the week, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Reports linking Evra with Juventus began last week and have slowly gathered pace to the point where a €7m two-year contract is believed to have been agreed.
United giving the final approval on a transfer was believed to be the last hurdle and Di Marzio, who has reported this story from the very beginning, suggests the €2m deal is now close to completion.
It came as a surprise to see Evra being linked with a move away because of his contract extension and the fact United had already lost Giggs, Ferdinand and Vidic this summer but it looks like the Frenchman will soon be a Juventus player.
For United, negotiations with Evra would provide the perfect opportunity to discuss a move for Arturo Vidal and potentially be a great bargaining tool that could open further talks about the Chilean midfielder.
Patrice Evra off to Juventus?
Vidal off to Old Trafford?

Juventus’ focus this year is improving their performances in the Champions League which is why somebody with Evra’s experience, at such a relatively low price, would be an important signing for them.
Someone like Vidal seemed an impossibility before the summer started but Ed Woodward securing Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw has given fans some confidence that a player of Vidal’s quality isn’t outside the realms of possibility.
