Van Persie hints Van Gaal is bringing Dutch players to Manchester United

Robin van Persie has teased Manchester United fans by suggesting he has inside information about some potential Dutch arrivals at Old Trafford this season but refused to reveal anything else.

Van Persie, 30, has been Louis van Gaal‘s captain for Holland at the World Cup and as busy as they would have been out in Brazil on national duty, you imagine the topic of United came up a few times.

From the Dutch squad, there have been a plethora of players linked with a move to Old Trafford including (but not limited to) Stefan de Vrij, Daley Blind, Bruno Martins Indi and Arjen Robben.

Plenty of those linked have put in some great performances at the World Cup and there is every chance some of them could be following Van Gaal to Old Trafford.

“I’ll admit that I know a little bit more than you sometimes, but I can’t say anything!” Van Persie joked after the full time whistle last night.

Does Van Persie know something we all don’t? There is every chance that might have been the case a couple of months ago when Van Persie was asked about United’s chances next season.
