United gossip: Multiple departures from United, Vidal ‘never going to happen’

by Sam Peoples

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer gossip from around the web.

In spite of the big developments with regards to Arturo Vidal this week, the trail went very quiet yesterday with Vidal.

There were new reports in the Italian press but all the information was repeated from the previous day. The new information came from Juventus CEO Guiseppe Marotta who insisted Vidal was simply not for sale and Howard Nurse added his own view on the story by suggesting the whole thing was a smokescreen for something bigger.

What can be bigger than the prospect of United signing one of the best box to box midfielders in world football?

Elsewhere, reports suggest Louis van Gaal‘s creation of a new United could see as many as ten players being sold this summer including Tom Cleverley, Chris Smalling and Bebe.

As for Patrice Evra’s move to Juventus, that has stalled because of Antonio Conte’s departure as manager and the Frenchman is keen to find out more about his replacement before completing the move, despite the fact he has already signed a contract with the Serie A champions.
