Manchester United are to bid €35m for Colombian World Cup star Juan Cuadrado according to reports from Spain.
This is not the first time Cuadrado, 25, has been linked with United as over the past few week, his name has cropped up in multiple reports from Italy, Spain and England respectively.
Cuadrado enjoyed a strong World Cup which is why interest in the Fiorentina man has gathered pace once again but anybody who wants to sign him will have to pay a premium following his performances out in Brazil.
A pacey winger is certainly a player who could add some real depth into United’s squad and a host of other wingers have also been linked with United including the likes of Memphis Depay. That being said, United’s interest in other wingers hasn’t been front page news anywhere else.
What’s clear this summer is that Van Gaal is far from finished in the transfer window so far and Ed Woodward’s warning of ‘watch this space’ ahead of some transfer business, so there’s every chance that could be sooner rather than later.
