Manchester United trialist Oscar Borg rejects professional terms with West Ham

West Ham youngster Oscar Borg has rejected the chance to sign a professional contract with the club according to the Daily Mail, moving him closer to a potential permanent move to Manchester United.
The 16-year-old is currently on trial and has spent a couple of weeks with the club before travelling to Northern Ireland with United competing in the Milk Cup tournament, where he has started both games so far which United have comfortably won 11-0 and 3-0 respectively.
Jack Sullivan, chairman of West Ham’s Youth Supporters Club, seemed to confirm the news that Borg had rejected a deal five days ago.

United have a great history in the Milk Cup and it was where the likes of Butt, Beckham and Scholes won the 1991 tournament before their careers flourished as the Class of ’92 at Old Trafford, so United’s youngsters are doing a great job following in their footsteps this year.
Borg, a naturally left-sided player, has drawn comparisons with Gareth Bale for his style of play and in United’s academy sides, there is always space for the most talented youngsters from around the world.
No move for Borg is confirmed at this stage but if he continues to impress on trial then United may well offer him professional terms.
