Here is the latest Manchester United transfer gossip from around the web including updates on Arturo Vidal, a potential move for Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado and defensive target Thomas Vermaelen.
With less than four weeks left in the transfer window, expect there to be some movement from United as there are still likely to be players joining and leaving in order for Louis van Gaal to build his own squad.
First up is an update on Arturo Vidal. Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli said the main delay for a move to United was Louis van Gaal‘s concerns over the long-term impact of his knee injury. In that respect, United would be wise to take their time given what happened with Owen Hargreaves but it remains to be seen whether all this heavy speculation will lead to an official move from United.
Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado is a name that won’t go away and the latest reports from Italy suggest the club is ready to make an official bid for the versatile winger. Although his price is inflated by the World Cup, Cuadadro would certainly improve the squad which is what Van Gaal wants to do.
The latest on a move for Thomas Vermaelen is that Barcelona have made a bid for the central defender and are now in pole position for the Belgian defender. If proved correct, this news wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world for United as there are definitely better available options who would bring more to the club than Vermaelen would.
