Paul Pogba says Juventus players hearing Arturo Vidal is going to leave

by Sam Peoples

Paul Pogba has been speaking to the Australian press about the future of Arturo Vidal at Juventus and although he hopes the Serie A side will hold onto the Chilean, he admits the players are hearing he is going to leave.

Juventus are currently in Australia as part of their pre-season tour but speculation has continued about Vidal’s potential move to Manchester United.

Pogba himself was linked with a move away but the focus is now firmly on Vidal and Pogba’s comments are indicative of how the rumours have grown so much that not even the players can now ignore them.

“We’re hearing that Vidal is going but we don’t know,” Pogba told The Age.

“For the moment he’s injured, he’s trying to get fit. We want him to stay at Juventus. At the moment he’s here so we won’t speak about him leaving.”

Pogba may well simply be reacting to the rumours currently in the press when asked by reporters but he’s hardly going to stop speculation with comments such as these, and the rumours are set to continue right up until the transfer window closes at the end of August.
