Paul Scholes captained Manchester United’s legends team in their 3-3 draw against Bayern Munich yesterday and was back doing what he does best – scoring goals galore.

The now 39-year-old was in the right place at the right time to coolly slot home into an empty net for United.

He scores goals galore, he scores goals, Paul Scholes he scores goals.

Scholes also got to meet one of his biggest fans at the game in Pep Guardiola. Back in 2011, Guardiola labelled Scholes as one of the best players of his generation and someone he’d have loved in his team, who can blame him?

It wasn’t just Guardiola who was happy to see Scholes either as Bastian Schweinsteiger made sure to get himself a little piece of memorabilia from Scholes at half-time by asking for his shirt.

Didn’t manage to see Scholes in action yesterday? Don’t worry, here’s a video showing every touch and pass he made. Scholes hasn’t lost his magic at all.
