Louis van Gaal expects Manchester United to complete more transfers before the window shuts on 1 September.
Angel di Maria was the fourth signing so far this summer but with an almost desperate need for more defenders and midfielders, Van Gaal has made it clear there will be more players coming in this summer.
“The club will [announce] when the time’s there. Players will leave, others will come,” he said at this afternoon’s press conference.
Reports linking the likes of Arturo Vidal, Daley Blind, William Carvalho and a host of others have circled all summer and will reach a crescendo on transfer deadline day this Monday.
As well as new players arriving, some of United’s current squad are expected to be sold.
The Telegraph has today reported Aston Villa are interested in making an £8m bid for Tom Cleverley while Javier Hernandez has also been strongly linked with a move away.
This may have already been a record breaking summer for United in terms of money spent but by the sounds of it, the club isn’t finished yet.
