Tom Cleverley and Shinji Kagawa close in on Manchester United exits

Manchester United duo Shinji Kagawa and Tom Cleverley could soon be on their way out of Old Trafford.

The Telegraph are reporting that an £8m bid from Aston Villa has been accepted whilst Sky Sports say Spanish side Valencia have made a bid for the 25-year-old.

With one-year left on his contract and little prospect of guaranteed first-team football at United, Cleverley has the opportunity to find a new club and reignite his career.

Meanwhile, Kagawa’s agent Thomas Kroth was pictured in Germany earlier today amid speculation the Japanese playmaker could be returning to his former club Borussia Dortmund.

Daily Mail are reporting Kagawa will re-join Dortmund for £8m which is a fraction of what United paid for him two years ago.

Kagawa is somebody who has forever struggled to settle in at United. When played out of his favoured position, he is completely ineffective and sometimes that has been the case even when given the free roaming No.10 role.

Louis van Gaal has made it clear he felt the squad was unbalanced and that changes would be made and a raft of changes is still expect in the final few days of this summer transfer window, including the potential exit of both Cleverley and Kagawa.
