Javier Hernandez set to join Real Madrid on loan from Manchester United

The Spanish press are reporting that Javier Hernandez will join Real Madrid on loan from Manchester United before the transfer deadline closes.

Despite bids from both Valencia and Juventus, Chicharito has decided that a move to Madrid is the best choice for him.

Chicharito’s frustrations at United have come as a consequence of being a backup to Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.

Following his poor form at United, he had a very quiet 2014 World Cup, especially in comparison to 2010 where he was one of the outstanding young players at the tournament.

However, at the Santiago Bernabeu, the 26-year-old will also be back-up to Karim Benzema so he will have to accept a similar role, so his frustrations are unlikely to be complete resolved by a move to Madrid.

Regardless of that, now does feel like the right time for Chicharito to leave United.

In his absence, Danny Welbeck and James Wilson can fight for the back-up striker spots and for Chicharito himself, there is a greater chance of a bigger role being back-up to Benzema than Rooney and Van Persie at United.

A deal is expected to be confirmed tomorrow where Madrid will unveil Chicharito as a new player.
