Javier Hernandez’s loan move to Real Madrid confirmed by Manchester United

Javier Hernandez has officially joined Real Madrid on a season long loan from Manchester United.

A clause has been placed in the deal which gives Madrid an option to purchase Chicharito at the end of his loan move.

Madrid have announced they will unveil Chicharito in a press conference at 16:30CET (15:30GMT) this afternoon.

For Chicharito, the loan move is great for his career. At United, he was far down the pecking order behind Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck so he was unlikely to get any game time.

At Madrid, he will still be a back-up to Karim Benzema but is more likely to get more minutes.

From United’s perspective, letting Hernandez go out on loan whilst bringing in Radamel Falcao certainly leaves the squad in a stronger position.

Good luck to Chicharito at Madrid and if he can re-find the form that made him a fans’ favourite in his first year at the club, he’ll be a great player for Madrid.
