Radamel Falcao scores goal on Colombia return in impressive performance

Radamel Falcao may have only been on the pitch for an hour against El Salvador but the Colombian striker was in outstanding form, albeit against El Salvador.

Within ten minutes Falcao put Colombia in the lead with an expertly taken header and he followed that up by being directly involved in both of Colombia’s other two goals.

We might be being a little (very) generous by giving Falcao the second assist but we are anyway. The goal certainly wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for his involvement, so that’s enough for us.

The good news for Manchester United is that Falcao was substituted after an hour and showed no signs of a muscular injury which reports suggested he had before the match.

That game will be a fantastic confidence booster for Falcao to fill him with self-belief once again and with two goals in his past two performances, he is now starting to show the sort of return United want to see from him.
