Ryan Giggs has hailed the influence of Angel di Maria and labelled him as the ‘kind of player you love to watch’.
Di Maria has been nothing short of superb since his arrival in the summer and Giggs’ description of the Argentinian is very apt.
Excitement builds every time he has the ball at his feet and Giggs believes there isn’t much that Manchester United’s coaching staff need to do with him because of his playing style.
“You don’t need to do a lot with him,” he said.
“He’s that sort of player, he’s a free spirit. He will take you from box to box really quickly and he will create and score goals.
“He gets bums off seats and he excites me. He’s the kind of player you love to watch.”
Di Maria is only a handful of games into his career at Old Trafford but the impact he has had on the team is already quite profound.
Like Giggs used to do in his heyday, Di Maria is capable of running at players with pace to skip past them like they aren’t even there which is partly why he is such an exciting player to watch.
If this is how good Di Maria can be when he is finding his feet at the club, how good can be he become when he reaches top form and fitness?
