When Louis van Gaal was walking to the dugout inside the Etihad this afternoon, he probably didn’t expect to be asked by Manchester City fans for his autograph.
However, that’s exactly what happened.
Posing and smiling City fans called Van Gaal over and asked for a photograph with him. They must have lost the memo that today is the derby. The only thing they were missing was a half and half scarf.
Could you imagine Manuel Pellegrini getting waved over by fans inside Old Trafford looking for a happy snap with the City boss? Not a chance.

The teams are out now and kick-off is fast approaching. Today’s derby has an altogether different feeling about it from recent derbies. United go in with optimism and have every chance of coming away with a result.
