Van Gaal concerned about Falcao coping with Premier League – report

Louis van Gaal is concerned that Radamel Falcao will not be able to physically cope with the Premier League, reports Ian Ladyman from the Daily Mail.

Falcao has struggled to find full match fitness ever since arriving at Old Trafford in the summer and is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury he suffered during training last week.

There were always concerns about whether Falcao was going to be able to fully recover after surgery on a serious knee injury last season and reports suggest that concern is now becoming more prominent.

United gave themselves a safety net by only signing Falcao on loan for a season with the intention of making it a permanent deal but if Falcao is unable to re-find his best form, it’s not a deal United are likely to follow through with.

That being said, major concerns at this stage may be somewhat premature given that Falcao has only started three Premier League games and it is November but if there is no improvement over the next two months in the Colombian’s fitness or return, then questions will have to be asked.
