Nani doesn’t believe there is a clause in his loan deal with Sporting Lisbon which means he could return to Manchester United in January.
The Portuguese winger has enjoyed a very good start to life back in Portugal, so much so that he was voted the best player in the Portuguese league by fans.
Due to that, reports surfaced in the British press suggesting Louis van Gaal was keen on re-calling Nani back to his squad but speaking to reports ahead of Portugal’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Armenia, Nani made it clear he was unaware of any such agreement.
“I don’t think there is any such clause but that is for others to solve,” Nani said.
Nani also paid homage to the support he is currently getting from United fans due to his impressive form. He added: “It is always good to feel the affection of the fans.
“They want me back because they recognise that I am in good form and can be an asset for the club.
“That’s football. Sometimes we are praised and sometimes we are criticised.”
