Andreas Pereira met up with Bayern Munich’s Rafinha and Dante ahead of their Champions League tie against Manchester City this week.
The 18-year-old midfielder has pledged his international future to Brazil where he hopes to follow in the footsteps of Rafinha and Dante by becoming players in the senior team.
Earlier this season, Dante congratulated Pereira on his call-up to the U20s Brazil squad and in the summer he was involved in a United transfer merry-go-round after intimating that a move to Old Trafford could be a possibility, shortly before signing a new deal with Bayern Munich.
It’s going to be tough for Pereira to break through into the senior Brazil squad given how much competition there are for places but he chose to play for them ahead of Belgium, with whom he holds a dual nationality, so he must be confident he can achieve it.
Pereira may not be getting minutes under Louis van Gaal just yet but he is now in the first-team set-up, so has already taken major steps towards becoming a first-team player in the near future.
