Louis van Gaal adopted a 3-5-2 formation against Arsenal last weekend and the game plan worked perfectly, with Manchester United exploiting Arsenal on the counter-attack after soaking up some pressure.
How could United line-up against Hull if Van Gaal wanted to adopt a similar tactic?
Hopefully the game will see plenty of United players return to the starting XI including Jonny Evans, Ander Herrera and Rafael which will be a big boost to the squad. Too many times this season players have overcome injuries only to be sidelined a few weeks later, hopefully that trend ends now.
This formation also gets the best out of Angel di Maria because he is able to take up the same role Arjen Robben did at the World Cup and lead the counter-attacks. His frightening pace makes him so dangerous in that respect.
Up front, Robin van Persie is likely to keep his place undeservedly but Wayne Rooney would be the focus point as he is bang in form.
