Manchester United have made an official offer for Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard, according to Sky Sports.
Odegaard, who doesn’t turn 16 until next month, has been on the radar of Europe’s top clubs for some time with reports that both player and his father have visited several clubs for tours of facilities and meetings with their relative key staff members.
Other reports suggest Real Madrid have offered the player a five-year contract but his final whereabouts is still unknown. Given their current stature as champions of Europe, it would be seen as quite a coup if United pipped Madrid to his signature.
The attacking midfielder has already played and scored in several Norwegian top division matches and became the youngest player to appear for Norway in August.
Odegaard is already a record breaking player as after coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria in September, he became the youngest player to appear in a Euro 2016 qualifying match at just 15 years and 300 days old.
Odegaard is close with his father and has visited clubs as United, Madrid, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and more with him as his family and friends try to keep the player’s feet firmly on the ground.
With the January window closing in and Odegaard ready to celebrate his 16th birthday, it seems the big teams around Europe are ready to swoop in for the one of the hottest properties in the game today.
