Louis van Gaal has confirmed Daley Blind is now back in training at Manchester United after being given a short break following his knee ligament injury.

Blind was injured while on international duty with Holland in a match against Latvia and reports suggest the Dutch midfielder could be out for a substantial period of time.

There has been no confirmation of any return date from United yet but Van Gaal has revealed that Blind is now began his rehabilitation back at Carrington.

“I gave him a holiday and he came back on Monday,” he said.

“He has to exercise and practise every day as an injured player has to train more than the fit players.”

United may have had an unprecedented amount of injuries but with state of the art facilities at Carrington, the rehabilitation process is as good as it can be.

Blind is going to be a big miss for United during the period which he is sidelined and fans are hoping he can return stronger than ever when he does make his comeback in 2015.
