Wayne Rooney revealed his new boots to fans this weekend and he wasn’t the only player to get some ahead of kick-off on Monday.
Michael Carrick also got himself a new pair of Magistas and Manchester United fans will be hoping that Carrick will be able to continue his fine form in them tomorrow.
The 33-year-old has been in superb form since making his full return from ankle surgery and with him back in the side, United have gone on to win four consecutive games in what has been United’s best run of form since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
Carrick has been key to that recent success. Slotting in for the injured Daley Blind, Carrick has become the heartbeat of United once again. His return has been so seamless that you sometimes forget he missed three months of the season.
With Blind out until the new year, Carrick has shown his importance to Louis van Gaal and if he can continue his form, the United boss could find it tough to slot Blind back into his team.
