Daley Blind underwent another scan on his knee on Tuesday and is now ready fully begin his rehabilitation on his knee injury.
Louis van Gaal confirmed Blind returned to Manchester United last week to begin his rehabilitation after a short break and said he didn’t expect the Dutch midfielder to play again in 2014.
Speaking about the latest news on Blind’s injury, his father Danny confirmed the good news that there have been no further complications and said he is still on schedule for a return after Christmas.
“On Tuesday he had a scan…Everything looked fine on the scan. Daley can really begin rehabilitation now, but is still on schedule.”
Although Michael Carrick has been excellent since returning to the team, Louis van Gaal will want Blind available for selection again as soon as possible, so it’s good news to hear there have been no complications thus far.
Blind can now spend all of December working with United’s medical staff back at Carrington and if all goes to schedule, he’ll be ready to return for United in early 2015.
