Victor Valdes wanted by Mexican side Queretaro who signed Ronaldinho – report

Manchester United are not the only club being linked with a move for Victor Valdes as Mexican side Queretaro have also been credited with an interest by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

Their report suggests representatives of Queretaro will travel to England in order to discuss a potential move with Valdes and having managed to sign Brazilian legend Ronaldinho in the summer, they certainly have the financial backing to lure Valdes.

Apart from what could be more money, Valdes would be first-choice for Queretaro instead of being back-up to David de Gea at United were he to sign.

United’s interest in Valdes depends almost exclusively on whether Anders Lindegaard leaves the club as there would be no room or need for the Spaniard to join were Lindegaard to stay.

Valdes is now training with United’s first-team and differing reports insist Valdes is keen to sign a deal with Louis van Gaal‘s side, so there is plenty of continuing speculation about whether his future will be at United.

With the January transfer window coming up, it shouldn’t be long before there is more clarity on this situation.
