Rojo and Di Maria could return against Aston Villa – reports

by Richard Laverty

Manchester United’s continuing injury crisis could ease off this weekend with reports that Angel Di Maria and Marcos Rojo are set to return to action.

Di Maria has been missing since the Hull City match whilst Rojo only missed the Liverpool game last weekend with a knock picked up in training.

With the possibility of Chris Smalling returning, Phil Jones and Jonny Evans returning last week and further good news regarding the Argentinian duo, United’s injury list could be at its shortest yet when they visit Villa Park this weekend.

As Sport Witness pointed out, the Argentine media have a good track record for accuracy where Di Maria and Rojo are concerned so there will be plenty of hope among supporters that the pair will be back this weekend.

Argentinian media outlet Ole think the pair are both fully fit and could be ready to start at Villa Park.

With Rafael Da Silva also back training, United could potentially just have two players on the injury list this weekend, with Luke Shaw and Daley Blind the only long-term doubts.

The return of Di Maria would be particularly timely, with the club’s attack clicking and the team looking to make it seven in a row, the return of their star man will only enhance that possibility.
