Chicharito’s agent confirms he’ll stay at Real Madrid for full season

Javier Hernandez’s agent has refuted reports he could leave Real Madrid in January despite a lack of regular game time in the Spanish capital.

The Mexican striker left United on loan in the summer in search of more minutes but has found himself in the all too familiar role of being used as a substitute in Madrid.

Although it is yet another frustrating situation for Chicharito, his agent Eduardo Hernandez confirmed he wouldn’t be leaving before the end of this season and said any deal to sign Chicharito would of course need Man United’s full approval first.

“He will not leave the club [in January],” he said.

“Yes, he is eager to play more minutes but he knows that hard work will open up more opportunities. He has his future ahead of him.

“If Madrid do not exercise the option to buy it will not be until the end of the season. In any case, we have to consult with the board of Manchester United to know what the future holds for Chicharito [Hernandez].

“Real Madrid are a team full of impressive players and obviously to earn a spot is difficult, but Javier has a great quality in working hard, like he has since the first day, and this is his merit.”

Chicharito would surely have expected to find himself as a substitute in Madrid which made the move there quite strange given that his frustration at United was borne from a lack of regular football.

That being said, Chicharito has had some good performances in his 520 minutes of football but whether Madrid decide to sign him on a permanent basis remains unknown.
