Manchester United have been linked with Gareth Bale ever since the Welshman was an unknown youngster in Southampton’s academy.
Bale would eventually reject Old Trafford and Sir Alex Ferguson by moving to Tottenham before going on to become one of the most sought after footballers in the world.
When it became clear the superstar was to leave White Hart Lane last summer, United moved for the winger but were usurped by a world record bid from Real Madrid.
This week, rumours have started once again regarding Bale and a move to Old Trafford but how would he fit in at the club?
Despite being left-footed, Bale became notorious for playing on the right wing at Spurs, cutting in on to his left foot and regularly smashing the ball home.
Along with his rapid pace, Bale is now one of the best on the planet and with him on the right and Di Maria on the left, United could replicate part of the attack that won Real Madrid the Champions League last season.
With Wayne Rooney still as influential as ever and two goalscorers to choose from up front, United’s attack would be as good as it has ever been should any move for Bale materialise.
