Rojo and Blind set for Man Utd cup return

by Richard Laverty

Manchester United and Louis van Gaal have been handed a double boost with the news that Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind could return in next week’s FA Cup tie against Yeovil Town.

Both have been missing from action at various stages during the season and Louis van Gaal suggested after the Newcastle game that most players could return within two weeks.

Marouane Fellaini‘s rib injury should keep him out for a while yet whilst there is no news regarding Ander Herrera or Angel Di Maria. Luke Shaw can be expected to be involved after he returned against Tottenham.

But there is better regarding Rojo and Blind who could return as early as next weekend.

The Argentine was a mysterious absentee against Liverpool and hasn’t featured since due to injury whilst Blind picked up an injury with Holland that has kept him out for almost two months.

Blind’s return would be a bonus given he has only just returned to training but a match against Yeovil could be the perfect match to bed the Dutchman back in.

Given United’s good form of late, it will be a plus to have so many players coming back as the season approaches its second half.
