Martin Odegaard will visit both Manchester clubs this week ahead of choosing what club he will join, reports VG in Norway.
The 16-year-old midfielder has already been to the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid but will now visit the home of football in Manchester.
Odegaard is one of the highest rated youngsters in European football and the top clubs are all after his signature now that he has turned 16 and can legally sign his first contract.
If Odegaard is looking for a club where youngsters are brought through a world renowned academy to have opportunities from an early age, he’d certainly get that at United.
Louis van Gaal has given seven players a senior debut for United this year regardless of their age and Odegaard would know that he’d get his chances at Old Trafford.
Of course, there is no guarantee United will win the race for Odegaard’s signature but at least the club is in for him. Hopefully Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a word in his ear.
