Norwegian sensation Martin Odegaard is believed to have visited the Aon Training Complex today and met with Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.
The 16-year-old is the hottest property in world football right now and has been seen training with several teams such as Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
Now Odegaard is in England and it is believed he will also visit local rivals Manchester City during his time in the country.
Manchester Evening News reporter Stuart Mathieson believes Odegaard met with van Gaal during his visit to the club training ground and that United are interested in signing him.
The teenager made his debut for Norway at the incredible age of just 15 earlier this year and his impressive for with Stromgodset in Norway has the eyes of the world set firmly on the young attacker.
He had been reported to be joining Bayern Munich over Christmas whilst Liverpool were also rumoured to be close to his signature after he visited the club earlier this month.
Odegaard will return to Norway next week to continue his progress in the Norwegian league on January 6th but it appears a matter of if, not when the youngster decides to leave.
With United in a very lengthy queue for the attacker, it’s still anybody’s guess where Odegaard will end up in 2015.
