Mata disappointed with Spurs result but thanks away United fans

Juan Mata took to Twitter after the match against Tottenham Hotspur to express his disappointment with the 0-0 draw.

Mata was United’s man of the match during a game where several players, Mata included, spurned fantastic chances to win the game and on another day Louis van Gaal would have been celebrating three points.

The Spain international has been in fine form of late, hitting his best spell during his twelve months at Old Trafford since arriving from Chelsea.

Fans have been quick to praise Mata’s recent form after a number of goals and assists have helped United to six wins in a row and nine unbeaten in the lead up to the New Year.

Mata also took time out to thank Manchester United’s away fans who once again proved they are possibly the best away support in the Premier League and Mata has formed quite a bond with United’s support in his twelve months at the club.

With another game looming on the horizon on Thursday, United fans will hope Mata can continue his good form as the team look to return to winning ways in 2015.
