Seamus Coleman has been extensively linked with a move to Manchester United over the past few weeks.

The Everton right-back has been linked since as early as March 2014 and the murmurs gathered pace during December until the point where he is now considered a genuine right-back option for Louis van Gaal.

Something that will no doubt help the rumours continue to gather pace is a picture of Coleman in a United shirt when he was younger. It’s nailed on then, he’s joining United…

Even if Rafael was to stay at United, Van Gaal will be on the lookout for a new right-back and Coleman has more than proved himself in the Premier League. At 26, he’d also have the perfect marriage of experience with years of progression still ahead of him.

Evidently, Coleman is a big fan of fellow countryman Roy Keane too:

The stories linking Coleman to United have gathered pace in the lead up to the January transfer window and it will be interesting to see how they develop over the coming four weeks.
