Amos and Lindegaard told they can leave Man Utd

Manchester United goalkeeping duo Ben Amos and Anders Lindegaard could leave the club as early as this month.

With United seemingly stepping up their pursuit of a new back-up to David de Gea, between them Lindegaard and Amos haven’t made a single appearance under Louis van Gaal.

Amos has been at the club over a decade but has never really found the opportunity to get a run of games behind De Gea and Edwin van der Sar whilst Lindegaard only got regular opportunities under Sir Alex Ferguson.

With neither likely to be happy at a complete lack of game time, both could leave in January if United find a suitable replacement.

United have been constantly linked with former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes and the Spaniard is continuing to train with the first team with a view to a contract until at least the end of the season.

The club have also been linked with Molde sensation Orjan Nyland and some reports suggest the 24-year-old could move to Old Trafford as part of a swap deal that would see Lindegaard return to Scandinavia.

Given some of the good form Lindegaard did show upon his arrival at Old Trafford it would be a shame to see his talent not shown on the main continent but he hasn’t had the chance to consolidate his reputation due to de Gea’s stunning form recently.
