Juventus boss wants to sign ‘excellent’ Adnan Januzaj on loan

Juventus have been linked with a move for Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj following a stall in negotiations for Galatasaray’s Wesley Sneijder over his valuation.

Now, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has called Januzaj an ‘excellent player’ and wants to see if a loan deal can be agreed to bring him to Turin.

“Januzaj and Mkhitaryan are excellent players but they are owned by United & Dortmund, we have to see if we have chance to get them,” he said.

Last year, Januzaj was one of United’s brightest sparks in a dull season. In a breakthrough campaign, he was a bit of a revelation but his first full season as a senior player hasn’t gone quite to plan under Louis van Gaal.

The Belgian youngster hasn’t been a central figure for Van Gaal’s side and unfortunately hasn’t done enough when given an opportunity to work his way into the starting XI.

While a loan spell at the start of the season looked like the wrong idea, it may well be the best solution for the rest of the year in order for him to get more regular game time because he needs it for his development.

Should Januzaj join Juventus on loan? We’ve asked our readers what they think and will publish a fan reaction later today.
