Lindegaard maintaining professional approach despite uncertain future

by Richard Laverty

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is remaining professional despite seemingly being relegated to third choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford.

The arrival of Victor Valdes this week won’t have made the Denmark international feel any more positive about his future prospects at the club.

Lindegaard joined United in 2010 and despite never being the undisputed number one at Old Trafford, he has always remained professional and his apparent light-hearted nature means he remains popular among supporters.

Without playing as much as a minute of first team football this season, Lindegaard appears to still be working hard and will want to be in the best shape possible for any impending move away.

Lindegaard has been linked with a January move away after it became clear he and Ben Amos have no future at the club but it could be more likely the Dane leaves in the summer.

Rumours earlier this week suggested Lindegaard could move to Newcastle United should Louis van Gaal make a move for Tim Krul and all in all it would be a good move, keeping Lindegaard in the eye of the Premier League as a definite number one.

There have also been rumours linking Lindegaard with a return to his native Scandinavia should van Gaal decide instead to move for Molde goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland.
