Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria has been named in FIFPro’s World XI for 2014.
Di Maria was named in a midfield trio alongside Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos and Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta.
Having already been named in UEFA’s Team of the Year for 2014, Di Maria has now made it a full selection with FIFA, so congratulations to United’s no.7.

He’ll surely also be supporting former team mate Cristiano Ronaldo as he goes for the main award whilst his current United team mate Robin van Persie is nominated for Puskas Award for best goal of the year.
Di Maria struggled to make an impact as United sank to their first home defeat since August, playing predominantly in a striker role alongside van Persie which left fans frustrated after the match.
But his place in FIFA’s World XI will serves as a stark reminder to Louis van Gaal about Di Maria’s contribution to Real Madrid’s success last season playing in a midfield position.
