Falcao denies reports he left Old Trafford on Sunday

Radamel Falcao has categorically denied reports he left Old Trafford on Sunday before Manchester United’s game with Southampton had finished.

The Colombian striker was left out of Louis van Gaal‘s squad to face Southampton and since then reports have gathered pace about his uncertain future at United.

Instead of letting rumours continue, Falcao has decided to quash them and confirm he remained at Old Trafford for the full game. First of all, Falcao retweeted clarification from a journalist who said Falcao was with Van Gaal after the game:



“To clarify, @FALCAO was at Old Trafford on Sunday at a party which I attended. Even he was with Van Gaal in the tunnel after the game” [sic]



“Furthermore Van Gaal had ratified it in the press conference and I ratified it personally. “It is necessary to filter what is said and written here.” [sic]

The the Colombian tweeted himself to deny the reports, quoting Luis Restrepo’s words with a closing comment: learn.

Update: Falcao has since deleted this tweet but the statement remains the same.
