Man United’s Will Keane linked with Reading and Blackpool loans

Championship clubs Reading and Blackpool have both been credited with an interest in signing Manchester United striker Will Keane on loan.

The 21-year-old striker has been in excellent form with Man United’s U21s this season but has failed to make any senior appearances thanks to Louis van Gaal having so many options in the first-team squad.

Keane’s twin brother Michael secured a permanent move away from Man United this week to Premier League side Burnley and although any move for Will would more than likely be a loan spell rather than a permanent transfer, he could seek a temporary exit in order to try and gain invaluable first-team experience.

A goalscoring sensation for United before a cruel knee ligament injury, Keane has started to show some great goalscoring form this season with the U21s but hasn’t been able to break through into Van Gaal’s plans thanks to the emergence of James Wilson.

For all parties, a loan spell for Keane would be the right move and going to the Championship would give Keane the best chance of regular football.
