Van Gaal expecting tough QPR encounter

Louis van Gaal believes Manchester United will encounter a tough game when they face Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

The relegation-threatened side have been strong at home this season, giving even the best in the league a tough time and will be confident given United’s poor away record.

United need to win to recover some form given they have only won once in the league since Christmas, before they can turn their attentions to Cambridge United in the FA Cup next week.

Ahead of that, Van Gaal is focusing on QPR for now and expects them to raise their game to face United.

“It’s always the same, because Manchester United is a big club,” said the manager.

“Queens Park Rangers have a playing style that is difficult for is, we have to beat them in spite of that.”

With Robin van Persie a doubt for the match, Van Gaal could use the opportunity to pair up Radamel Falcao with Wayne Rooney.

With Angel di Maria fit again, United fans will be confident a front three including the Argentinian, Falcao and Rooney should be enough to claim all three points against a side near the bottom of the table.
